::Queries::upgrade from cfw 3.55 to cfw 4.31.
 

Hi Guys...

I, currently, am using phat ps3 on rebug 3.55.2 with a version spoofer 4.25(I went online thru this)...I have some queries regarding upgrade, namely

1. Is it worth upgrading from 3.55.2 REBUG to any CFW 4.31?
2. Which is the best cfw 4.31?
3. i have a list of 50+ games running with 3.55 fix, will these games work without any new fix on cfw 4.31?
4. Game saves will not be affected from upgradation?
5. any other thing i need to keep in mind before upgradation...

I u/stand the list comprises of some basic questions, but i just want to be sure before i do or end up bricking my love...

Most games should work without the original files. My choice is rogero v.05
Its like the new kmeaw IMO

1, yes.
2, I recommend Rogero 2.05 for simplicity, but if you love rebugs options, go for rebug 4.21.2 REX
3, some people say you dont need to patch 3.55 fixes, I personally DID have to, it doesnt take long though and there are several methods to do it (update the game, swap the eboot, patch the eboot)
4, only hacked game saves will be affected: Far Cry 3 for example had auto save patched and this affects the savedata. Mine did not work on 4.30 CFW when I updated, but 99% of gamesaves WILL work.
5, QA flag (dehash if you have a downgraded console that hanst been dehashed) before you update, just to be sure ;)

what are you talking about @toolz , the new kmeaw :laugh: more users in this forum have issues with rogero then any other CFW :laugh:

Rebug has been around since day one practically with CFW. I have never heard of any problems with there cfw.

Rogero 4.30 v2.05 CFW is as simple as KMEAW 3.55 CFW was.

No toggles or extras, it just does what it needs to.

The ONLY issue I have had is reactPSN doesnt want to work for me, but other users have reported it DOES work.. I dunno.

Rebug is for advanced users.

I would recommend Rebug only if you know what you are doing/want to swicth between DEX and CEX/ or need to have a million options at your disposal :)

This guy already has Rebug, so it stands to reason he would update to a REBUG 4.21/4.30 CFW.

A have never done anything like downgrading or stuff like that...just version spoofer over rebug 3.55.2!
Do we have any step by step guide to uprgade to Rogero 4.30 v2.05 CFW??? coz i read somewhere that i need to go to ofw then to cfw[which actually is difficult for me to u/stand :(]

Will i be able to go online after this upgradation( i just need this to sync my trophies :P)...

Every back up works flawlessly for me and I have no problems.

@amitsainisharp just install Rogero 2.05 from XMB over your rebug CFW and it will work. no need to downgrade, or OFW-CFW any more.

I would still QA flag before updating to CFW 4.30 though, just so you have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

(also do not forget to MD5 check your CFW download BEFORE installing it)

If you can avoid it, any access to psn, even syncing trophy's could risk a ban.

@DEFAULTDNB ...as suggested will go and install it over 4.25 spoofer(fingers crossed)

and will use QA toggle to flag it before upgradation...

I just hope everything will go as planned...dun want to brick it...
