[OFW 2.76] How do I install CFW 4.2?

I've got OFW 2.76 40GB Playstation 3
How do I install 4.2 CFW?
Should I install 3.55 Kmeaw first and then 4.2?
Which guides should I follow?

Update to 3.55 OFW, 3.55 KMEAW, QA flag, dehash, install 4.21/4.30 CFW from the XMB.

(if your PS3 has never been downgraded, I suspect you could just simply instal the MiralaTijera 4.31 CFW from the XMB straight over 2.76)

I ain't gunna bother.....

MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL TAKE ANY DISC OUT OF THE CONSOLE BEFORE YOU DO THIS AND DONT PUT IT BACK UNTIL YOU ARE DONE OR YOU MAY INSTALL OFW BY MISTAKE OR WORSE BRICK YOURSELF!

First update to OFW 3.55 by downloading the 3.55 PS3UPDAT.PUP file. and putting it on a USB thumb drive in the following folder structure. (root:/ is to say the main folder of you jump drive this is the root of the drive)
Root:/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
now go to system update and update from USB do not update from network EVER!!!!! (and for the love of your console make sure there is no disc in the drive!)

then install CFW 3.55 any other than cobra or Trueblue Firmware. Use the same method you use for OFW

Now download and install the toggleQA token tool from REBUG and run it. (install by placing it on the root of your thumb drive then going to the install package file option found under the game category.)

Now under settings hover over network settings and press the button combo L2 + L1 + R1 + R2 + L3 + D-pad Down to reveale the Debug menu. and find the setting System Update Debug and change it to on. you are now properly QA flagged and ready to install Whatever CFW 4.x you wish to use.

to install your 4.x CFW you must now kick the console into recovery mode do so by turning you PS3 off. now press and hold the Power Button until you hear it beep twice consecutively. so the beep when it turns on, then the beep for the video reset, and now you will hear two beeps then let go of the button. you should enter recovery. If you don't hear the two beeps but rather it just shuts off you should just retry. it usually takes me two cycles to get to recovery.

make sure the 4.x CFW is placed just as all the others before and install the CFW through the recovery mode Firmware update option. (again make absolutely certain you have not puit a disc i9n the console! before doing this)
