80029567 - DEX Users Please Respond

I'm suffering from an '80029567' error when trying to install something, but I've noticed I only get this error with the automatic download prompt. If I manually download and install the .PKG (through Game Update in multiMan for instance), the download and installation will work fine.

It appears to be a problem with users on Rebug 4.21 REX converted to DEX. Just wondering if there's a way around it as it would seem the question hasn't been answered yet.

Please don't ask why I'm on DEX, I'm on DEX because you need to be on DEX to use dummy BD EMU (as far as I know), and I need that because my BD drive is screwed.

I need someone who uses DEX to answer the question really.

just convert back to CEX real quick and install, then convert back. it dont take that long to do.

SCE_NP_DRM_??? 0x80029567 Package install error - You get this error on Retail/CEX + Shop/Kiosk firmwares on unpatched firmware (or without payload) - e.g. Kmeaw/fluke1's 3.55 + psl1ght made fself PKGs. You also get this error when using geohot PKGs on Debug/Dex.

Can you go into more detail please? That table is not enough to risk me flashing back to CEX over this problem of mine. Thanks for your input.

EDIT:

Are you actually using DEX or have used DEX before? Because upon reading that for a second time I've already seen it from a google search. Please don't post stuff you understand nothing about. It can ruin peoples consoles.

Do you know what your talking about? What he posted is from ps3devwiki error code page.

If you are on rebug rex 4.21.2, you can go back n forth between dex and cex. Use the toolbox. Maybe you should read about it at rebug.me. ;)

all he does is post what ps3devwiki tells about the error you have
nothing more nothing less

you don't need to flame him for actually posting relevant info

I know what I'm talking about more than you most likely, you just sound like a condescending tool.

I was hacking PS3's back in 2008/9 when you required a dongle mother****er!!!

I'm still looking for A DEX USER who can give his opinion. Not someone who is running Rogero latest and feels he can chime in with his ultimate knowledge. Because his knowledge, like yours, is ****.

That last sentence was a joke BTW. I'm still looking for A DEX USER who can give his opinion. Not someone who is running Rogero latest and feels he can chime in with his ultimate knowledge. Because his knowledge, like yours, is ****.

LOL. Good for you. Maybe you need a dongle.

How did you even get on DEX, if you didn't know how to use Rebug toolbox?

And BTW, I am on REBUG REX 4.21.2. And go back n forth DEX to CEX on the fly. No bricks. ;)

And I converted one of my other consoles to DEX, when the method was first released. Is currently on PS3ita 4.21 DEX CFW. :)

Just cause you know how to use a dongle, doesn't mean you know what you are talking about. @james28909 was only trying to help you. And you are too ignorant to see that. There was no reason to be a dick.

Good luck with your errors.

I know how to use Rebug Toolbox, I have it on my PS3. Just get the **** out of my thread OK? You unhelpful piece of ****.

And considering you just said that, I would possibly call you the most unhelpful person of the scene in existence.

All I'm looking for is help to fix my problem in the first post, not smarty smart ass posts like your first one. If you're going to help, by all means. If you're not (like you're clearly not and I think you are a billy bull****ter), don't post. Because you have nothing to add, except a vague attempt at superiority.

EDIT:

Mod's please delete these posts. They are unhelpful and sadly have managed to sidetrack a simple question I just want answering.

Dude calm your ****. People are trying to help you. If you keep acting this way you will get the hammer up your ass.

Wow, that error must have you fuming. LOL.

If you knew how to ask, you might get help. And if you read my posts, you will see most of them are helping users.
