downgrading strait to rogero 4.30?
 

OK so i've been downgrading ps3's for a while now and every time i do a downgrade with my e3 flasher i have to go thru 3 different fw's to get to the one i want on the system i am doing. so my question is, when putting the ps3updat.pup file on the usb stick with the lv2diag during service mode, am i able to just replace the ps3updat.pup file with lets say rogero 4.30 or a 3.55 ofw pup? or does the update file have to be a modified one? cause as of now the pup that is in the folder with the lv2 is rogero 4.21 spoofed to 4.11 i think. its would save me alot of time....

yeah um dont downgrade to 4.30 downgrade to 3.55 kmauw w/o lvl2 checks then qa flag and upgrade to rogero 4.30

you cant downgrade to 3.55 kmeaw as u would brick , it would have to be rogero 3.55 .


@op there is way to downgrade straight to rogero 4.30 , i'm not sure how as i've never done it but i've seen it some where on this site

You can go Straight to Rogero. METHOD 2 in Chapter 2 of my guide below.

its a bit pointless cuse one needs to dehash anyway, either with the "usual" ROGERO 3.7 nochecker or ..yes ...there excist a KMEAW no checker pup! so when using this patched KMEAW think its from the spanish..dospiedra...

so either one wil work to downgrade, not the default KMEAW, that one wil brick ur console while trying to install on initial downgrade

u can't skip..do it properly..downgrade to 3.55 using Rogero's 3.7 and dehash. then trow whatever u want at it

if thats the case then absolutly not, but how would i change the fw thats loaded onto it when in factory mode?

METHOD 1 in Chapter 2 of my guide below, is probably the fastest and safest route. Since you still dehash.

With that method you do not need a FSM dongle and you don't format the HDD.
