If I were a girl, I would have had your ****ing babies RazorX. This app is the ****. <3

You have no clue, how long I have tried resigning iso.bin.edat and eboot.pbp files. If this resign PS1 classics and PSP minis, then the world received a new god today.

May i ask you for which reasons you need to resign iso.bin.edat and eboot.pbp for PS1 classic and PSP Minis?

Hi Ada :) Long time no see :)

Well, the only reason I wanted to resign them, was to have PS1 Classics and PSP Mini's run on 4.21CFW and higher.

Every tutorial and guide on the net described the process of resigning packages as extracting them, resigning the eboot.bin (which was what all automated programs did), and pack the extracted data into a .pkg again.

I wanted to resign eboot.pbp, as they are the equivalent of eboot.bin's in PS1 Classics and PSP mini's PKGs :)

The reason for the iso.bin.edat follows from that as well... So it was possible to play them, without connecting to PSN. I have blocked all outgoing connections from my PS3s to the internet, so that was not an option :)

So sadly, not really any sort of deep reverse engineering I had going here ;(

Same, but the interesting is that the false positives is only in the x86 executable, not the x64 executable, and I was using the x64 one anyway, soo :p

Not that I believe it is anything legit it finds anyway. It finds a variant of newheur... which in other words just mean that it finds something unknown it might believe is something.... and IIRC, ESET isn't exactly the AV that finds the least false positives :P

Another interesting fact is that ESET also whines over the ContentID app that razorx's program extracts and uses in the process... :p

If anyone is paranoid, then just in case, run it from a VM :)

BTW I can confirm it works on PS1 classics and PSP mini's <3

hum, your ps1 and minis stopped to work on 4.21? (but it should not)
or it s when you try to install them from pkg?
(Like having loop during isntall and after nothing was installed.)
After 4.00 FW, Sony modify the way to install them so on cfw (or ofw 4.21+) you need to make them as bubble first (MultiMan option install pkg + make sur it set as bubble)
them you ll have you pkg game as bubble. From there, you can install to ps3 or copy to psp.
Note the "fix" pkg is fine and can be installed from classic install pkg.
It s inconvenient because you need more internal space and if you want to export to psp you need to have it as bubble.

To have them easily from usb storage ready to be use for PS3 or psp i do that:
keep the "fix" as pkg and unpacked the game pkg on my storage media.

---> for install on ps3 and them ftp the folder game directly into hdd0/game/sub folder created by the fix
---->for PSP (with cfw): ftp the folder game.
(for PS1 you need to generated the keys.bin, for MINIS you need to convert eboot.pbp to iso)

I did not test this tool but it seems it ll make this repack (put the fix and game pkg into one pkg so it really nice to gain time) without resign eboot.pbp or iso.bin.edat. But if it modify the iso.bin.edat or eboot.pbp it ll be nice to know.

Am i the only one that gets annoyed when people only release software to enter a competition, in order to "win" money ?

Any purist will bother, because is based on the "wrong" reasons. But at least it brought something useful to the scene

(God! I'm Starting to sound like some multiMAN fanboys)

No you are not alone. It's prostitution at best! A mild form, but prostitution none the less.

Just checked the app a bit out... its by no means intuitive... Its far easier just using the old method to resign and repack your ****. It will not even repack stuff for me. Just asks me if I want to edit the param.sfo... No ty.

Thanks Ada, I screwed up completely. I thought PS1 Classics needed resigning as well.... I was SURE they did, I was SURE that I had tested it... But they work :D Thanks alot, back to Final Fantasy :D I tried resigning a few of my other games with this application, but it sucks, the old ways are easier :p
Thanks for telling me they didn't need resigning btw.
What you wrote about having the games extracted reminded me of a problem I am having...

I used the GameData tool to install my pkg's unto my external harddisk... However, my external harddisk broke a few weeks ago, and now my XMB is full of games that I cannot delete... It gives me an error message, when I try to delete them because it was unable to... But it will never be able to do delete them, since the HDD died :( Do you know if I by any manual means, can... delete something from the file system for instance, to have them stop showing up in my xmb?

If you don't know, then its all cool, I'm going to make a thread about it one of these days :) :P
