Hello im new with a probable simple question to ask

So i just got 4.30 2.05 with lastest multiman. Everything is working via 640gb internal hdd. Ive been stocking up on games for the past day or so.

In multiman im using the 8x4 games list display and all of my games on the internal are showing up! HOORAY!!!

However I formatted the 80gb stock hdd to FAT32 and im using it as an external, but the games will not display in multiman 8x4 display games list. When i go to the mmos it does show up as a usb external at which point I have to go into the game directory and click the EBOOT file to play the game.

How do I get the games on the external to be displayed on the 8x4 multiman games list like the games on my internal? Im sure there is an easy way to do this, but i seem to be missing it.

Is there a way to toggle between the different hdds? As it is displayed on the bottom left of the multiman screen. Thanks in advance to whomever can provide assisstance. Whats making me mad is im sure the solution is so simple but im too dumb to figure it out. GRRRR!

Click the refresh button on games column in xmb display of MultiMan and your games will show in all displays.

Thx guys. I appreciate the hospitality.

So i am pretty sure i tried that donkey punch, but i will try it once more as soon as this copying gets done. Im not a complete noob. I made a folder in my external called PS3 with a folder in that called GAMEZ. Then extracted the game into the GAMEZ folder.

When plug my external in the 3-5 games in there will not display even after hitting refresh. Ive also tried removing all other usb devices. I looked for some youtube videos which suggested changing to ntsc with usb.cfg programming which i dont want to try unless its a last resort. Everything on the 640gb internal works great with internal and bd mirror checked.

So ive been tranferring everything to the internal, all the new games work great, but when that gets filled i want to be able to use an external. I will try to refresh again, but if anyone has any other suggestions....

Try x:/GAMES instead of x:/PS3/GAMEZ, then plug in to the right most USB port and refresh your hdd in multiman.

Mine are in GAMES on my external hdd and they show up fine :)

I only have one USB plugged in at a time, sometimes there is an issue if you have 2 external drives plugged in.

No need for a PS3 folder ie:

USB>GAMEZ>TOMBRAIDER

Gamez goes in the root of your usb device

you extract the files to the Tombraider folder

I have 2 plugged in and all show OK for me, again just games on the root

I keep mine:

x:/GAMES/GameName-[BLES123456]

So I know which version I have...

@Chinsuky

Use mM to rip one of your game discs to your USB, then take a look at the USB file structure whilst plugged into your PC, this will then show you how games are stored on the USB (mM stores in GAMES if I remember correctly) you can use GAMEZ or GAMES
