Sorting out some things
 

Hi all,

Just making a post to get some things straight - I've seen a lot of mixed information everywhere.

I have a PS3 (3000 series) model CECH-3001A. I am currently running on OFW 4.3. It is NOR not NAND.

I have heard that is / and is not possible to downgrade from 4.3 OFW to 3.55 OFW by using an e3 flasher and e3 reader, can I get some input?

If not possible, please give a general explanation why - Id like to actually get some clear cut information rather than a yes/no.

nah u cant downgrade 3000 series PS3s to 3.55... the lowest firwmare they were shipped at is 3.60

They cannot because you need to be able to physically mod the unit so that it can go back to factory OFW 3.55 or lower.

However your model shipped from factory already higher than 3.55, so there's no way to get it below =/.

You need an older console!
