Remember the rumor a few days ago that Sony may remove the OtherOS feature on non-slim PS3's in future firmware update
? Well Geoff Levand, PS3-Linux maintainer
, has gotten confirmation from SCE that the feature will NOT be removed in future firmware updates, and Sony will continue to support it.

Please understand that in my position as PS3-Linux maintainer
I can really only provide users with technical support for
Linux and the LV1 hcall interface.
