Well, I tried it, and it worked just fine!

I copied Mafia II to LAUN12345/GAMEZ/Mafia.2.PS3 using FlashFXP and it worked fine. I was playing Mafia II until about 1AM this morning.

EDIT: this is for the INTERNAL drive btw. I don't know if it will work the same for an External HDD but I would assume it does.
