yes its possible the ps3 still reads the disc as ps3 when its a ps2 disc thats in it.. in one of my posts wit the tiff exploit that team hax made and usin the hard drive pull out i could remove the disc which was ps3 an then swap it wit a ps2 game and then put the drive back in a hit x to coninue to run the ps3 game but it would just boot back to the xmb because i had to hit eject on the console so the ps3 new to reread the disc for false game.. if u notice his tiff seems to do what team hax did but an extra step where the tiff ejects the disc wit codes which means that the ps3 maybe does do a disc check again an still thinks its a ps3 game
