nothing to do with used or not..
80gb hdd means 80.000.000.000 bytes..
80.000.000.000 / 1024 / 1024 / 1024 = 74,5 Gigabytes..
btw, you still have to account for Folding@home + the themes + savegames you have + system settings and such... :D
mine had minus 5gb when I've bought it.. new.. never opened b4..

Settings
- System Settings
- Restore PS3 System
done.. you will 'clean' what ever it finds..
