In short
first you need an USB stick (i use 4 gb fat formatted), a keyboard/mouse is also handy and an ethernetcable connected to the ps3.
Download BootOS 2.01 installer pkg and lvl2 V9 patcher pkg from the downloadsection here and install them.
Run BootOS installer from XMB. It will show you need to run lvl2 v9 when it is finished.
Run lvl2 v9 patch from XMB and select Linux
Follow on-screen instructions to install Debian
Note: this has not Graf his kernel in it but it is a first start.
I only have a german description how to install Graf his kernel, as soon as I have time i will translate it and put it somewhere here in the tutorial section. If it is already there please link to it, it will spare me some work
