You also do not need to bridge the client and be wired. You should be able to pull this off with ics internet connection sharing on the pc and setting your pc ip address as the gateway on the ps3. The main thing is that kai has its own dhcp client and I don't know if you can get your ps3 assigned an IP from outside of kai and have it work.

Feel free to create your own tutorial if you think this is an easier/better method of connecting to X-Link Kai.
