I see nothing but good coming from this. Thanks to these kind of chips people can take more risks while experimenting with there PS3's. People who bought there PS3 with ofw3.66 can downgrade as well and those who were stupid enough to upgrade and regret, now have a way back.
Even if all this chip would do is let you downgrade then it's still a great help to the community. Try looking at the bright side and think "What can it do for the scene?" instead of "What use is it to me?".
let's just hope the chip won't be too expensive.

You can only downgrade as low as what OFW the ps3 was shipped with, going lower than that it's almost a guaranteed brick as far as i know.
As good as this may be i doubt it's the answer for those who bough ps3s on ofw 3.66.
...but then again i could be talking BS here.
