... hmm i wrote this somewhere else
"has anyone tried to scan a hard drive with a utility such as Acronis ( which detects virtually every partition known ... hidden and all ) to figure out just what we are dealing with?
i only ask because i use gentoo and winXP when i am absolutely forced too... so having a FAT32 or vfat partition on a server has been commonplace for the past few years. from the linux side. there is no problem writing an 6 gig file to a vfat partition. from the micro$oft side it will most likely say the drive is full and thus back out with some error. now i am not saying the hard drive is FAT32( or some variant ) ... but don't rule it out until someone takes a REAL close look. and if someone has confirmed what it is i apologize. again i am just thinking out loud
also .. couldn't we use a back up utility like r-studio to view what is actually stored on the PS3 ?
has anyone looked into this *.p3t "compression" ... fyi its just for themes. uses an XML script to create some time of hierarchy for the theme ??? maybe.. don't forget there are scripts that check specific folders IE. PS3 is the parent then there is THEME as a sub and OTHEROS as a sub ...?? what would games be under ?? PS3VOLUME\PS3_GAME\ ... ?? perhaps look into those downloadable games from playstation store that we can get on our PC ...for this hidden location.
sorry for the rant ... i am brand new here .. and just want to see you guys succeed!! ill be sure to let you know if i find anything...
cheers
