I have been following this thread. Currently I am downloading the custom firmware from the link you have provided. Later on I will follow the steps you have provided.
Well I have something to ask you guys. I am currently running a slim on 3.41. I have a dongle which states as the amazebreak version 3. The dongle spoofs 3.41 and make it believe that it is in 3.55. Now I remove the dongle and start the ps3 without it, do my ps3 returns on its original state? I checked the firmware and now it is back to 3.41 without the dongle. Is it now safe to upgrade the ps3 from 3.41ofw to 3.55ofw then 3.55cfw without any problems? Multiman and open manager are now installed on ps3 and has games in the internal drive. Will it cause any conflict?
