basically annelies summed up what i had in mind and better. i do tend to pirate, but i have a different set of rules/viewpoints for each medium (i guess).
-Music: the only thing i listen to is stuff on the radio, video game and anime music, and my chemical romance. the stuff on the radio i never pirate; i just hear it when it comes on. video game and anime music i just will not buy (unless it came along with what i bought). MCR is probably the only band i follow, and i pirated everything they have. This isnt too bad, as every semester i get at least 10USD worth of amazon music (from buying books) so i use all that money and buy their songs even if i already have them /shrug. ALSO, MCR is kind of weird with their releases, like giving japan a special edition with 3 extra songs and such.
-Movies/TV: i almost pirate everything here, although i usually have already watched it in theatres or on tv already. in very rare situations, ill like it so much that i get a copy of it myself (dark knight, evangelion 1.11/2.22, etc)
-Games: i usually only pirate old school games, most of which i currently or previously owned. other than that, i get psp and ds games. sometimes ill pirate a company's new game in retaliation of being screwed over (the ps2 mgs collection is now getting a ps3 HD collection...WITH peace walker? wtf??). that and i try to get a digital version of every game i own. besides the above exceptions, i used to yarg it up pretty often.
nowadays im too lazy to even watch/play the movies/shows/games i got...this includes the games ive recently bought -_-
