1. You CANNOT do such thing due to the nature of the hardware responsible of the bootldr functions. In order to do that (even if you could) you would need to have WRITE access to some of the hardware responsible for bootldr (EEPROMs etc), and PS3's hardware without any extreme hardware hacks is unable to do that (I doubt you can do that anyway). Not to mention that If you would do that the Hypervisor would not accept it because it woulnd't follow it's chain of trust. If you could just do that so simply there wouldnt be any reason to do software-wise hacks to the PS3 to get to this point, we would just go ahead and do the old PS2 era modchips...
This was a very silly thing to spread out by DH... Only dum dums will believe it.
2. The only way I can see this thing happening with the keys being true is:
STEP 1 - Dumping a masterkey from a console (specific on every particular console)
STEP 2 - Upgrade the console.
STEP 3 - Use something using that masterkey that glitches the PS3 to make available to dump all keys.
STEP 4 - Downgrade using a Hardware Hack based method back to 3.55
STEP 5 - Put the keys on the list of the FW/make an sprx that fixes files or just uses the rootkey and the results to skip the decryption.
I know it sounds like a SCI-FI movie but it's the only possibility I can see happening...
Also if this is infact true, there is a reason why they should speed up and release the FW...
Because if they don't Sony is gonna shut them down before they are able to do anything...
Also if this isn't true and it's just a hoax and they end up stopping with the progress, I wouldnt be surprised if they would say that Sony tracked them as an excuse. The best thing they should do is stop doing WIP videos and WIP updates in the project and just release something when they are ready to.
