I'm pretty sure this is my first post, and it's going to be a long and aggressive one.
First things first, Deank, simply put, you're the man; you've created something infinitely useful, for free, and stuck by it since practically day 1 to make sure that it's something worthwhile; it most certainly is, Sir. There was a time when I had like 4 backup managers installed, and even though I may have used another for compatibility, I always had the latest multiMAN because there was always something new. Not to mention how many posts I've read of people wishing that they could boot directly into multiMAN XMMB mode, myself included.
Honestly, when I read this post, I initially thought "How many devs have actually looked at the files on the ps3? Wonder if they saw the drm and pspemu folders?", but never once did I think "Dang, Deank is liable if I don't see better results!" That's the beauty of homebrew and open source; they don't owe us anything but are willing to spend their time putting their skills to work for us. Although some may do so for the e-fame, the only posts prior to this thread that I've ever seen by Deank are those in which he either posted updates or spent MORE of his time troubleshooting for people. For something with no guarantee or warranty, he sure does back his product well.
Aside from Heroes like Graf, almost every dev in the ps3 scene has some kind of stain: Waninkoko and the bricks; Math and his sideline/king of the hill stances (if he really just wanted to let everyone who mattered know something was out there, he could hand it over to other devs instead of dangling it over everyone's heads); the way Geohot took all the credit, got sued, and turned tail.
And now what? They're going to get all worked up because just once he went off on someone? Who doesn't go off on someone on the internet? I have half a mind to verbally abuse half the member population on just about every post, and half my mind would be all I'd need for most of them. Screw 'em if they don't like it, Dean; take a break even, you've done quite a bit. When most devs started getting overly cautious in the ps3 scene I looked at Graf and laughed at them, but considering how consistently you contribute, if anything were to happen to you, people would be quite remiss if you hadn't done anything to cover yourself, because then we'd have no more awesome multiman updates.
I just woke up, so I know I ramble quite a bit, but the bottom line is that this guy, just like the rest of them, does more than any of you and asks nothing in return but to know what's bugging so he can fix it. Show a LOT of respect and back off.
