to most of the people thats answerd here what the fuk you doing none of you have got a clue so why post crap ? service mode and recovery mode are 2 diffent things , hes not stuck in service mode hes stuck in recovery mode ,
the reason why he is stuck and cant update is because hes not got a blu ray drive , when you update firmware and when installing the firmware it check to make sure every think is fine as you not got a blu ray drive it fails the test which why it stops at that % as its checkin and failed ,
its obvious that he is not on cfw and is fw over 3.56 so you on about service mode etc if he put it in to sevice mode he wont get out as there is no simple fix only by flashing , , but hes not in service mode hes in recovery mode
the only way to fix this is get a new bluray drive . if you wanna go on latest ofw for you psn games .
