Ah Sony being typical Sony...
Now that the PSN PS2 tittles will be launched I guess it will cause alot of controversy and Sony might reconsider to work over the emulator, or, they have worked already on it and they will include it on a new OFW allongside with the introduction of the PS2 PSN tittles.
Sounds reasonable huh?
They did patent a method to software emulate the ps2 on the ps3 so it wasnt completely unkown that they where working on it.
Sounds reasonable enough but with sony being sony I cant see them releasing a software emulator even if they have it fully implemented. They want people to have to rebuy their games. The emulator will just be packaged along with the games on the PSN.
I wasnt aware that they where releasing ps2 games on PSN, they must therefore have a working emulator, this could be optimised for individual titles but i doubt it as the ps3 is fully capable of emulating the ps2.
