Be adviced that the error you get will not be fixed with any of the (RTFM/wiki) products and can easily be done also with a 4 dollar chip (PIC32MX) or 20 (Teeny2.00++).

Solderless means in China: less solder. Not without solder (you still need 4 solderpoints for E3 : tristate, VCC, VSS and SBx).

In the end of the day you still have to repair your PS3 or suffer from PKG/Eboot errors that come with a dying BD drive.
