Can't it be both? Can't I hate them for making terrible products with terrible support? Seriously...I got a few limited edition techno albums that only came on 45 a couple years back and needed a player...the sony player I bought couldn't play brand new records...I bought a bottom-of-the-line Technics to replace it and they played with the same fidelity of a CD.
As for your store policies, it sounds like the management bent the customer over and let the crummy brands stick them with no lube...how are people meant to compare the brands? Surely brands like LG had no such requests.
