I'd like to believe in the good intentions of the person(s) behind this, but the fact of the matter is, with all the development into debug machines, we haven't even seen debug eboots pop up anywhere, it took this whole JB2 scheme to see the first ones, and those are even encrypted with custom keys.
People can slam moogie all they want, but he gave us the means to play a new game on 3.55. At the very worst, everything will remain the same and no other games will be made playable, just as things are right now. At best, this will spurt other devs into releasing their work.
Whether this particular dev was actually good intentioned or not, what moogie said about the ps3 scene is still true, it would advance much faster if the ones in the know disclosed their work, and there would be no need or incentive for going behind someone's back. All the white knight dev groupies should do well to remember that, instead of enduring their abusive relationship.
