It's for enabling HDD and Networking features on specific PS2 tittles that support it.
Would be cool to check what's inside.
Also, I don't mean to bring up hype or a faulse alarm, but I think I found out what Cobra team did on the ps2 emu files. Still though I don't know what they did on lv2 so best case scenario PS3 would start the game and kick you back to XMB with a message saying the same message it says when your try to launch it on Factory Mode.
In other words, I think I found which is the right switch of the function of recognising and booting PS2 games on retail mode but this doesn't mean that the games would play at all, it would react as in Factory mode that kicks you back to XMB advising you with an error message to keep checking for updates for this game.
Is there a a safe way I can mount a dev_flash with files somewhere without the fear of causing a brick or a RSOD? Like when I will reboot my console, they will be away. I don't want to release something that I'm not sure if it would cause harm to somebody else's console, he have already enough retarded people that do so and some noobs use them and brick their consoles...
