Its laughable IMHO that just because its Math it's taken at face value. If it'd been anyone else it quite simply wouldn't have made the front page news.

Honestly at this point its down to if you think

is full of crap, or he is a legitimate developer/hacker. Its not hard to figure out where I stand on it.
Chances are the news won't apply to most general users, but we do have more than "noobs" stalking these pages. The point of bringing it as news is to inform people of what is going on around the scene.
Someone can be a completely prime and talented hacker/dev that is well away from the "underground" scene (where stories like this are always circulating away from public eyes), and this news story could lead them down the right path.
