Bluetack is something i got from my lecturer at university in electronics 101

. as for the OIL in the bluetack not a problem as long as you let it cool down before you try to take it off the board as it goes sticky and stringy when hot, and it hardens back up when cold so it's easy to get off.

I did wonder about leaving so much exposed myself but it did not seem to affect anything at all, if i was to do it next time i would cover the fan plugs as they went a little brown. as for my opinion i figured that well if everything is covered up it may not heat up evenly and some parts would be cooler than others and may lead to an uneven re flow or focus to much head on one area.
that's what i was thinking anyway. as most of them parts would get that hot anyway with cod marathon
