Yes that is strange...how I understand it works is that the ps1 emu go to the BDVD and operates using the system.cnf file and using the attributes/info contained in there. For PS1 games the attribute BOOT is what points to the SlUS..etc, but the funny thing is it operates also on BOOT2 which is for ps2 games but probably passes it as a Boot attribute as it posts the PS1 Logo but with missing text and graphics elements. So without a disc in, there is no system.cnf file thus should either throw and error and/or return to XMB (how I understand it) but instead it just freezes....how strange lol.
