You dont need that other downgrade.bin, they removed it as creates many problems. The one they have on E3 site is good

some question to the brick fix: do you had a solder point/pad on SBE? on my softboard were none and i have two of them. are there different revisions of e3?
e3_downgrade.bin V1

edit
this v1 downgrade bin is obviously different from v 1.2

you must use the downgrade bin from e3 website otherwise it wont work very well. And yes you MUST have that solder wire SBE to NOR Tristate Point

This basically means, you can use ANY bios dump from ANY PS3 as long as it's not corrupted. I think that's a wrong information

No I never said any ps3, I said any Backup Bios you have.. Assuming its from your own console only and yes flashing someone else wont work correct.

i could be wrong, but im pretty sure.

PLEASE EVERYONE IT HAS TO BE YOUR CONSOLES BACKUP BIOS, WHEN I SAID ANY MEANING 3.55 OR 3.72 OR 3.73 BIOS THAT YOU BACKUP ON YOUR CONSOLE.
