Immortality Drive

I was just watching History Channel's Life After People and they mentioned the existence of an "Immortality Drive" developed late 2008. Basically it is a memory device that was placed in a launched shuttle (currently orbiting the earth) that contains a digital copy of the DNA of various humans. This device was developed in an effort to preserve the human race and to provide a sample of our genetic makeup in case of a cataclysm resulting in massive human extinction or for extraterrestrial beings.

What is hilarious about this memory drive is that it includes the humans which I suppose the majority, or at least the developer of the drive Richard Garriot, collectively agreed should be available to repopulate the earth to include physicist Stephen Hawking, comedian Stephen Colbert, Playboy model Jo Garcia, game designer Richard Garriot, Pro Wrestler Matt Morgan, and athlete Lance Armstrong. This is no joke. I tried to find documentation but it is hard to come by so check out Life after people on netflix or check out this Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immortality_Drive

I think the Playboy model is what tops it off, I mean why didn't they throw in an intelligent woman in the mix? I cannot believe the international space station went through with this project! lol.
