get yourself helhcats SFO editor or any SFO editor & change your SFO game id, from patch to anything higher than the latest patch .If it says 1.13 change it to 9.99 .. It is easy then copy it back .If using Disc back up you can do the same or just disable your connection ..

Are most games safe to update? except a few that specifically says not to update e.g. drake 3 etc..
or is it mainly the psn games I should watch out for..?

I guess this is one option to prevent specific games from updating...
but like I said most games are safe to update??
Would be good if there is a list of games that are safe to update and ones that should not...
Would the other option be disable internet connection completely in settings..?
