Short answer, No. Ideally, you want CFW 3.55 (or lower) to be able to run home brew, etc... Downgrading may be an option depending on the lowest firmware you can have on your ps3. Or you can wait it out until KaKaRoTo releases the jailbreak he is working on, which will hopefully work with 4.0 ofw
