Don't get me wrong, I understand what you are saying. However, I find it foolish to not just fork out the extra cash on a used PS3. It is not like you would be wasting money, since you would be able to do more with it than you could a dongle. On top of that, you can be assured that all new games will be playable, plus the additional benefits of owning a ps3 bring. You don't get that when purchasing a dongle. You could order one today, and before you even get it in the mail a number of things could happen... for example...
∙ However the TB team are making games work could be patched.
∙ TB team could start charging a small fee for each compatible game you play using the dongle.
∙ Support for the dongle could vanish as fast as it appeared on the scene, making your dongle obsolete.
∙ New methods of launching backups could emerge (and I am sure will someday), making your dongle obsolete.
∙ Release groups could stop releasing TB patches for games.
This list goes on and on. If you like wasting money (or thinking you are saving money by purchasing a dongle and then pirating games) then by all means, you deserve to own one

Myself, I like to spend my money wisely, and don't pirate games. Most of my games have 50+ hours game play logged, $60 for 50+ hours of entertainment is not expensive, there are many more ways to blow much more than that on less entertainment purposes.
