"methods/exploits/code/tools/sdk/etc" SDK i really dont know what you mean by that as that is SONY's they have just as much right to it as the open scene after its leaked.. The methods we dont know what they have used just speculation..
As it a choice for them to release their work for free or paid or even at all is their choice..
As it is your choice to buy the thing or not.. I havent bought one, but just think we should see there is value in it for some people and let each user decide if $60 is alot or not..
Just have respect and DONT ASSUME everyone is a pirate for supporting a device.. Many are just happy they have the option, to play maybe a stack of Ps3 games they bought and cant play..
Just take your own words.. " have the patience to wait for something that's free" and if that is soon, then there is no reason for the all the arguing on the forum about how bad/good the device is..
If it takes a long time then it stands that this is the best option as of now and the near future...

Your points and views are well taken, while many do not have the patience and get this for legit reasons and care less for the price there are people who still want a free alternative. As you have stated it is their decision to make it free or not, I was just stating my opinion and saying that it was a horrible decision (not that it matters lol). When I say SDK I meant something like PSLight as I can't imagine them using Sony's sdk....as Sony would definitely be on their asses if they were (could be wrong). Sure it might take some time for some games but a lot of games are already made to run on 3.55 and were released within weeks of the games launch.
I am also sure they used many parts of the original PS3 JB source as I'm guessing it used the same "internal hub" method. Their payload and all that is probably just a modded one of the ones already released. Sure there is many things that they wrote/did themselves but a lot of things in the scene was written by talented devs like multiman and it was given out free. So again I'm saying it was a bad decision on developers part or the people behind the developers who implanted the thought of making a dongle out of it.
