It matters not who wins this battle, it's one of many.
How many people who used to be loyal Sony purchasers won't buy another Sony product ever again?
Sony is such a big corporation they think they can treat customers like dirt, they have the money and influence to fix court cases against those very same customers and they continue to do it.
Nothing will change with Sony and its sad that its typical of big global corporations, but they will lose their customer base because of their lies, year on year less people will purchase Sony products because of how they are.
That is the difference between Sony and the likes of Apple or Microsoft.
Sony don't, can't and never will listen to the people who buy what they sell, they don't care.
So at the end of the day, when the fat lady sings, Sony will ultimately lose.
