hello people jhax here
im making this guide because i see a lot of people using tutorials that just
lack certain steps and thus have a 90% chance on a brick
never ever trust on file size md5 checks alone
if you have 2 bad dumps they share the same md5 and even have a file size of 16.777.216 bytes
and if the console specific stuff is bad well you just end up with a fancy doorstop i think we all agree we can buy cheaper doorstops
you need flowrebuilder for this step
for progskeet you choose

drag the dump.bin file to select the input dump file in flowrebuilder
click execute operation
if you have a error while flowrebuilder unpacks the nor it's 100% a bad dump
for E3 flasher you choose

drag the dump.bin file to select the input dump file in flowrebuilder
click execute operation
again if you have a error while flowrebuilder unpacks the nor it's 100% a bad dump
if everything is ok you get
this doesn't mean it's 100%
now you have a folder with all the dumps content and we need to check that
now go to
ps3devwiki List_of_files_on_NOR_Flash
all the file sizes and files are there in the list
open HxD hex editor open the dump.bin and check the offsets and if they're correct
example first thing in the list is
asecure_loader it's Absolute start offset is 0x810 mine shows metldr is there so that's correct
do this for everything in the list read the note's and you're good to go if it's all correct
im in no way responsible if you still brick your console this is just a way to check you should always check ps3devwiki
my thanks go out to
EussNL <--this guy always answers your questions how noobie they may be

team progskeet for their awsome flasher
and the guys on efnet #ps3downgrade
