Like it or not, it's most likely going to happen. The corporations are paying lobbyists to pay congressman to pass this into legislation. If they could pay congress to send all the jobs overseas they can and most certainly will pull this off too. If they don't care about your jobs do you think they care if you can download content. If they pass bills like the Patriot act that violates your civil liberties then they're going to care even less about your internet privacy.

Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, VEVO, Google and all of those companies that are bound to get affected by it have 20+ times (each one of them) more money to put in those congress men's mouths to stop SOPA. It won't happen, it's exactly the same thing Sony does for their court cases. I wouldn't be surprised if those people who are responsible for this idea would be found dead by the end of this year.
