Thanks for the info to all who have answered. I have 3 more questions...

1. How do you thank people in this forum? (don't see a thank button)

2. On the downgrade/ modding service, I looked for the area and cannot find it. Can you please tell me what sub-forum it's on. Maybe it's just me but I cannot find it.

3. If I have my pS3 downgraded/ modded by a pro, would I need to open the console for future updates (which means sending it out frequently)... or will I be able to update the firmware myself via USB or network?
