im about to buy a fat ps3 on fw 3.55 that has no hdd

ive read that there are issues with new internal hdd installations, such as i wont be allowed to run 3.55, it will make me update to 4

so, can i install a new hdd and run 3.55 or do i need to like find a used hd that had 3.55 on it

and i know, i have ofw 3.55 and kmeaw 3.55 on usb to install fw that way, but will that option be gone now?
