I have a fat ps3 the 20gig model cechb01. I am not sure of the firmware that was on it as it was listed as broken when i got it. It turned on and would go into an update loop, i tried multiple different things from blank hdds to hdd from my other ps3 with a cfw on it to tearing apart the system and just cleaning it along with cleaning the processors and adding new thermal paste. upon putting it back together i noticed the clip to the main blu ray cable was half broken obviously meaning that i need a new chip for the blu ray drive. I turned it on again and got back to the update screen one more time and it looped again so i formatted the drive. I have now come to the issue of just a blank screen and thats it. What could i do to get past this? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also i know that it has an older firmware because i can not get into recovery mode by holding down the power button. There is only a 2 beep and then power off. No flashing red lights or yellow light either. I can get the BR to work if i hold down the cable on the pins as well but still only get a blank screen.
