I remember they booted ps2 isos externaly similar to how i was booting elfs. I believe no-one has done it so far since they are very few people(generally) who got CECHA/B/C/whatever Does cobra require special fw?

Jitsuin, who do you **** and what the hell are you saying?
I think you should do some more research on the Cobra dongle as they've even enabled PS2 playback (limited due to the lack of any hardware) on Slims. I have 4 PS3s (2 CECHA01's with full hardware, a CECHC03 with partial hardware and a 320gb Slim with no PS2 hardware) and Cobra dongle has worked amazingly well on them.

It's a lot harder than you think, Deank (multiMAN developer) even tried to mount PS2 iso's to work and couldn't do it so he left it.

Yes Cobra has its own firmware and they've had PS2 support for 6 months now and no one has been able to emulate their work along with the fact that they can mount PS1 isos from HDD and even PSP games, the most progress in that respect has been booting PS1 iso's via multiMAN but only on CD-R's.

Cobra are a very talented dev team and so far no one has been able to incorporate any of their features apart from PS1 iso's on CD-R and for now it looks to stay like that.
