people have a right to buy things they wish. they're not being forced to buy this. they aren't slaves to the product. Brainwashed may be a better word.
Nobody is forced into buying a dongle; nobody is forced to buy another dongle that does what the old ones dont. Slavery is not the right word. Neither is captive.
this next comment might incite some poopoo but, I almost want to buy a tb dongle JUST for the drama that I know will come hurdling at me. That would just be a big waste of time. Though... it's a BIGGER WASTE OF TIME to argue the pros/cons about the dongles. Everybody gets it.

Side note, if you want freedom, a PRIVATE internet message board is not the place for it :P The site can promote free speech but some has to be restricted like racism, flaming, etc. Not so free anymore
