I have seen that thing been torn off from ppl removing the motherboard with no attention, it may be detached in some point. As for the fan, do not drill the bottom. The fan is designed to cool all of the motherboard and PSU by sucking fresh air through it, so if you hole the bottom, the motherboard itself won't be cooled anymore

Hey thanks for this will check, if this compenent is missing anychance you can get me the partnumber off yours so i can solder on a replacement.
Thanks for help everyone will not be drilling holes the work done on static pressue would have been alot, the air flow would be exactly what it should be however i am sure they use **** solder, using a pot and a switch should solve that problem, i will atack a switch between the put and the rpm wire so instead of an open circut it will revert it back to normal. Will post a howto for people and show you how to calculate a less sentitive pot using VIR triangle formula.
Is it possible to buy this card anywhere if he has knackered it?
