Well they did updated with jb king and now jb king cant play all the games that came out after 2.5. So who says they want do it with this $20 jb2usb. The TB team is pretty smart seeing that nobody's figured out how to install this into a custom firmware. If it was my business or anybody elses business (people who like making money) would update there device so only there device could play the latest releases. But you seem like a smart guy or girl (sarcasm) go on risk your lousy $20. Like you said there's no guarantee that they will or not update. All we need is one test dummy I guess you can be him.
