I tried it once too. It was awhile back, right after we lost psn on cfw. There was never any games to join and I had the port forwarding done correctly, but just seemed like i could never find a game. And that was with black ops.
I seen this thread and was hoping you were gonna have some good news. I would play with xklink if there was more people playing.
Really the best way if u want to play online is to have 2 ps3s, 1cfw for backups and 1 ofw for psn.
Or dual boot with a flasher.
If you look hard enough you can get a 2nd ps3 pretty cheap. I just bought a cechl01 off eBay that only needed a hdd, for $71.
Of course either of those solutions will not work if u don't own the originals. :o
