First off I want to say that Pirating goes for all ages (including 14). Now we can help you get faster downloads using torrents as that isn't against the rules but try to be smart and don't just come out and say you are a pirate. You are asking to get bashed on if you do. As long as its more of a question on how and not where we should be able to help you (except if you ask how to pirate).
As for torrenting faster I never had the need to open ports, I only open them if I am on a private tracker. Mostly I look for torrents with a lot of peers (specifically more seeders). And lastly you can't expect to download fast if your internet connection is slow so yeah get fast internet.
Things to look out for:
Some ISPs throttle the torrenting if the protocol is detected, like Comcast for example. If you are being throttled then you will either get very slow speeds or even none at all. There are plenty or workarounds like using a torrent client that converts the torrent protocol to http protocol, or simple use a proxy.
I personally don't really have a problem with pirates as I'm sure everyone here has pirated something before, but it is against forum rules to discuss about pirating and piracy.
