no you dont have to wait you can get true blue to play them on (cfw 3.55).
or you can update to 4.11 and you can play them.
you can get a 2nd ps3/360 to play them.
as far as a jailbreak coming to the ps3 higher then 3.55 you will be waiting a long long time.
