you no longer need to update, since it is already updated to the latest 2.51 ver, im assuming you just bought it recently.. tb plugged and boot ps3, check at settings - system settings - system info you should see your tb ver is 2.51 (yup .51 and not .5)..
and as long as tb cfw v2 and tb 2.5 games are working then there is nothing to update..
