Guys to my amazement after failing with 2 phats and 1 with soldering the linker I threw in the towel. A Colleague of mine asked me to try it on his ps3 slim which I tried and with same E3 flasher and 10.28.11 update. It has worked with just the clip. Saved bios and downgrade. E3 flasher must have Issues with phat models. I can see only a very few handful of reported success with phats on Internet. As I can see in this thread only slim models have been posted here. My conclusion is perhaps with the phat models is like playing the roulette. More likely to succeed with slim models. I wish the e3 team would make this clearer. I also think the E3 team should have on the market the soldrered version of the clip. Customers should have a choice of soldered clip and unsoldered clip.
