Well its cool.. Its just the SCPH-9000x version. They fixed the softmod that used FMCB, from some point during the datecode 8C in the SCPH-9000x models. You can either chip it. Recommended chips are some such as Modbo 4.0. You can install a softmod on the memory card to trick it.. installing that requires a ps2memcard to pc/ps3 adapter, or a swap magic/codebreaker like cd or a friend with an already hacked ps2 to install it.
Lastly, you can also use for instance swap magic, and the swap trick to play backups. or install/run software on the memcard.
